EXFOLIATORS -- Alpha and Beta Hydroxy Acids and Scrubs |
Exfoliators are products that remove the outer layers of your skin to reveal smoother, clearer, brighter and more even skintone. The exfoliators known as beta hydroxy acids can actually penetrate pores to relieve congestion and tighten pores up. The most famous known exfoliating acid is glycolic acid, however, it's also the most irritating to work with and since there are so many better alternatives nowadays that Skin Beautiful doesn't even sell it as a leave-on product. Scrubs work as physical exfoliators to manually scrub away dull and dead skin. They're great when skin is "peely" from retinoids or salicylic acid, or anytime you just want smoother, silkier skin!
